Xi'an issues epidemic prevention and control proposal
The international and domestic COVID-19 epidemic situation is currently very serious, with local cases spreading in several provinces in China. To prevent and control the epidemic, Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, has issued the following initiatives to the public.
1. Actively cooperate with epidemic prevention work. Those who have traveled or lived in Ejin Banner in Inner Mongolia autonomous region or Jiayuguan, Jiuquan, and Lanzhou cities in Gansu province since Oct 1 must contact their place of residence for reporting, undergo nucleic acid testing, and cooperate with prevention and control measures.
In particular, those who have come into contact with confirmed cases must report to their place of residence and truthfully report their travel and living history.
Citizens are required to actively cooperate with relevant parties to conduct epidemiological investigations, and to coordinate prevention and control measures such as closed management, temperature monitoring, and environmental disinfection in the sub-district, streets, communities, and neighborhoods.
According to the current epidemic situation, the Xi'an epidemic prevention and control headquarters will send text messages to people returning from high-risk areas. People are requested to perform a nucleic acid test as soon as possible after receiving the text message. If the nucleic acid test is not completed within 24 hours, the personal electronic identification code will be automatically converted to a yellow code.
2. Do a good job with daily health monitoring. It is necessary for people to develop a healthy lifestyle, strengthen physical exercise, maintain a healthy mentality, and pay close attention to the health of themselves and their family members.
Once symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, decreased sense of smell or taste, and diarrhea appear, people must wear a mask and go to the nearest medical institution for fever diagnosis and treatment in a timely manner.
Please avoid taking public transportation as much as possible when going for medical treatment, and inform medics of your recent travel history and contact history with similar symptoms.
3. Do not go out unless necessary. People are encouraged to reduce dinner gatherings and visits, and not to visit crowded places unless necessary. If one must go to a crowded, poorly ventilated place or medical institution, please wear a mask, actively cooperate with the work of temperature detection and health code inspection, and maintain social distance.
4. Do a good job in personal protection. Keep up good habits such as wearing masks, washing hands frequently, using public chopsticks, paying attention to maintaining a distance of one meter from others, and maintaining indoor ventilation.
People who meet the vaccination requirements are encouraged to get a vaccine and booster injection.
